Full service in key practice areas
We provide legal assistance in criminal law and criminal procedure, misdemeanour proceedings, tax law, business law and insolvency. We also provide legal assistance in the main areas of private law: the law of obligations (including employment and extra-contractual relations), property law, family law and the law of associations.
We represent clients in pre-trial and court proceedings and advise at every stage of the procedure – from initial consultation until the end of the proceedings. We represent clients in the Supreme Court.
Our guiding principle is to find the optimal solution, not to provide standardised legal services. Going to court does not always lead to the desired outcome – our task is to assess the situation as a whole and to find alternative solutions where appropriate. All communications with clients are confidential; we treat each case individually and offer practical solutions that meet the client's situation and objectives.

Services
Criminal law and criminal procedure
Defence of suspects and accused in criminal proceedings at the pre-trial and trial stage. We also represent victims, civil claimants and third parties in criminal proceedings.
Recovery and return of wanted vehicles
The office has long experience in recovering vehicles seized in Estonia and returning them to their owners. We also work with foreign partners on these matters.
Misdemeanour proceedings
Representation of persons subject to proceedings in extra-judicial and court misdemeanour proceedings, including appeals against decisions of extra-judicial authorities.
Tax law
Representation of taxpayers in tax audits and tax debt collection proceedings, including appeal and court proceedings (challenging tax and liability decisions).
Civil disputes
Out-of-court and court resolution of civil disputes and legal relations, including insurance disputes, employment disputes, family and custody disputes, disputes related to housing associations and apartment ownership, as well as disputes related to division of joint property. We also advise and represent clients in dealings with credit and financial institutions.
Business law
Incorporation, merger, division, transformation and liquidation of companies. We represent in shareholder disputes and advise on corporate governance and liability.
Insolvency
Initiating bankruptcy proceedings, representing clients in bankruptcy and related court proceedings, and representation in enforcement proceedings. We protect the interests of both creditors and debtors.

Ilja Sipari
Attorney at law
Education: University of Tartu, Faculty of Law (MA 2012, BA 2008); Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, Police College 2003 (senior police officer qualification).
Background and experience. Before joining the Estonian Bar, Ilja worked for six years at SEB Pank and SEB Liising – representing the employer in court disputes and in bankruptcy and enforcement proceedings, and gained extensive experience in advising on refinancing transactions.
He practises mainly in criminal law, misdemeanour proceedings, tax disputes, the law of obligations and associations, insolvency and court litigation.
Membership: Estonian Bar (since 2015).
Languages: Estonian, Russian, English.
